Ten years after the Vietnamese invasion ended the Pol Pot regime there were still many civilian victims. Whole villages were forced to flee from the ongoing violence of the civil war between government troops and the Khmer Rouge guerilla. Especially the land mines that were still strewn everywhere caused much suffering. Now, thirty years later, many of these explosives have still not been cleared.
