The country is on the move, the economy, especially along the coast, is booming, but the dark past is still present and many people miss out on the progres being made.
Visual remains of communism, bunkers all over the country
Underground tunnels in case of nuclear war
Derelict and destroyed communist-era industry, out of revenge
And long lists of those excecuted
But nowadays life is looking good
And the economy booming
Tirana is becoming Europe's new party town
With many events, like the colour festival
Not everyone profits
Bicycle repairman can't afford a proper shop
The countryside lags way behind the urban areas
Some must play violin in the streets
The capital's skyline is radically changing
Tourism is growing explosively
But for the Roma poverty and discrimination continue
Rascism is on the increase
And poverty remains a serious problem
Especially for the elderly
But life goes on
And everyone like ice-cream
